Industrial Services Of NY

An unassuming building on Walmore Rd. hosts the small empire John DePasquale has built over 25 years.

He built a successful business happily doing the work no one else wants to do.

John DePasquale began his business 25 years ago with a truck and a lot of grit.  What began as a small side hustle has turned into Industrial Services of NY, with 8 employees and a 25 year run of loyal clients, successful projects and lots of hard work. John remembers parking his equipment at a friends business because he had no where to put it.  He said he learned to do his record keeping, invoicing and accounts payable because he had to. “You do what you have to do” he said.   He spent the first year working out of his home until he was able to afford a small building on Quarry Rd. in the Town of Niagara.

John built his business without much of the modern fanfare. In fact, he grew it with good old fashioned values and work ethic. He took the work no one else wanted to do like cleaning tanks, spill clean ups, plant shut down cleaning and pit cleaning. He did that work with enthusiasm, pride and great attention to detail. His motto then and now is “No job is too small.” His strategy for growth was to provide high quality work and deliver exceptional service.

In no time, word of mouth began to spread about his work and the projects came in.  It takes commitment, integrity and patience to grow a business like this and it wasn’t always easy for John.  He said there were times when things were tight, but he kept working, he kept customers happy and he kept the faith until eventually the fruits of his labor began to show up.

In 2002, John had the capital to build his building on Walmore Rd from the ground up.  By that time he also began to grow his team. He expanded his services to include  demo projects, backhoe and dozer work as well as commercial painting and plumbing.  The company also holds a NYS Waste Transportation Permit and provides on site semi-storage tankers.

With his son John and right hand man Jake Oleksiak running projects in the field, John is able to enjoy his classic car collection a little more these days.  John still does all the billing, payroll and bids as well as frequent visits to jobs because he can and he wants to. He said he has no plans of retiring or scaling back his work week.

A father, a loyal friend and an extremely hands on CEO, John has his priorities in place. He says family is everything.  He worked hard his whole life to  provide for his family and help others.  Over the years, John opened his home on several occasions to help care for extended family and gave back to his community whenever he saw a need.  He is a long time Board Member for the H.A.R.T Association and Niagara County Hospice. He is the father of three beautiful children and two grandchildren.

John DePasquale  is a shining example of the American dream, in fact, he is living it everyday.  Industrial Services of NY, Inc. is located  at 6431 Walmore Road in Niagara Falls.  To contact them for services call 716-731-5606
