Eye brow threading is all the rage lately. Throw out the tweazers and leave the pain of waxing behind, there’s a new way in town (literally) and it’s gaining ground among both women and men.
Her story is one of courage, inspiration and perseverance. She’s an inspiration to anyone facing life’s greatest challenges.
At a young age Sameen and her family became refugees because of the dangerous situation of their home country of Pakistan. Sameen, her husband and her oldest daughter were brave enough to leave their country and come to the United States without knowing the language or having a support system here. They settled in Virginia and within days of obtaining their green cards, found work.
Sameen landed a job at a salon that gave her the opportunity to hone the skill of eyebrow threading.
While acclimating her family to a new environment, Sameen spent her spare time learning all she could about her trade. Things began to look up, she had her second daughter and her and her husband were working steady.
Recently the family decided to move closer to Sameen’s in laws who live in Canada. Lucky for us they landed in the Town of Niagara.‼️ Rather than working for someone else, Sameen made a courageous move and opened her own threading business. She became a member of our association, fixed up an old salon and began serving clients just within 30 days.
Her spirit of gratitude, honesty, and authenticity is an inspiration.
During our visit, she served several clients and it was clear she was truly grateful for every set of feet that walked through that door. She treated each one as if they were the only customer she had. Sameen’s faith and commitment to provide a better life for her family is what gets her through the tough days of a start up.
On behalf of the TNBPA, we welcome Beauty by Sameen to our business community!
